Slocum Socccer School - August 7-11, 2017
Slocum Soccer School is a day camp for girls entering 3rd – 9th grades held in Concord, Massachusetts. Now in its 19th year, Slocum Soccer School has developed an amazing reputation. Not only do we serve female soccer players exclusively, the majority of our staff is also female, providing excellent role modeling in addition to excellent instruction. Our coaches have been chosen because they are skillful working with girls, love the game, and are invested in giving back to local youth (many of our coaches are teachers, coaches or graduates of Concord-Carlisle High School or other nearby schools). We maintain a low player / coach ratio (usually 8:1, never more than 10:1) and are dedicated to the overall development of the female soccer player through personalized instruction, including specialized goalkeeper instruction.

While the primary goal of Slocum Soccer School is to develop all fundamental soccer techniques and tactics through maximum touches on the ball and maximum time in game or game-like situations, we also dedicate some time to auxiliary activities such as daily quiz questions, spirit day, “Soccer Olympics” and a cake decorating contest. The purpose of these activities isn’t just “fun and games” (though they are fun!). They provide a means to creatively enrich player’s knowledge of the game (and the women’s side of the game in particular), develop leadership, and nurture their passion for the game.
Our goal is to inspire achievement by example and by creating a challenging yet fun learning environment. By the end of the week, our aim is for your daughter to not only be a noticeably better soccer player but also to have developed close connections with her coaches and teammates, feel more confident and self-assured, and feel even more excited about playing soccer! A local treasure, it’s no wonder many area youth insist their family make vacation plans around the one week we hold Slocum Soccer School each summer.
